Gettin Back on the Horse

The writing horse that is.
I kind of fell off the face of the earth.  I think I’m back now.  I now have a new computer and new equipment for internet so I should be good to go.
In terms of work I am sort of scared because now is the point in this career plan of mine for all of the pieces to fall into place.  And if they don’t, I don’t have a back up plan.  This plan that I’m currently on is the back up to the back up. I have one last hail mary pass idea, but it’s not a sure thing and I’d really hate to be in that position.  It basically involves calling anyone and everyone I know and asking them to do me a huge favor and call anyone and everyone that they might know and name dropping and reminding a few people that they owe me big time.  But let’s just really hope it doesn’t come to that.  I don’t want to be there.  Hopefully though things are about to settle into a nice normal.
I have been looking forward to the next 2 weeks for a while now.  Basically the better part of the last year has been spent counting down to events that will occur in the next 2 weeks.  I have multiple paper chains going to prove it.
I finish my last class on Wednesday.  Tuesday and Wednesday I get to do training for work and I’m pumped.  I want to be the shit at my job and it has been more than a little frustrating to not be able to actually be trained.  Wednesday night I’m flying to see my sister and help her move to the coolest apartment.  I’ll get back and go to work for a few days and get to do more training.  Then it will be my favorite day of the summer.
I freaking can’t wait for the 4th.  No city does the 4th like DC.  And I do not tolerate people whining about crowds and traffic and yada yada.  Not interested.  I will be right there in the thick of it enjoying every freaking moment.
Just a few days later my other sister moves back to the US.  Then it’s our anniversary, and hopefully everything will be settled shortly after that with work and I will get a giant fat raise.
And I think overall I’m doing a good job at my goals for the year.  But more on that later.
